You Will Make Music On The Guitar Without Having To....

Wait A Second....Who The Heck Am I?!?!

I’m Matthew King, creator of this course and others I call the Play It Loud method.

No I don’t expect you to have heard of me because I haven’t won grammys or worked with Paul McCartney.

However, I started exactly where you did….with just my guitar, a scale book, and a few guitar tabs.

After that, I became OBSESSED with figuring out how my guitar heroes made their songs, riffs, and solos.

I want to share with you what I’ve learned because the YouTube videos I keep watching never mention what I’ve found out……

Do I Need To Know Tons Of Music Theory Or Be A Pro Level Player To Use These Concepts & Ideas???

No! Everything in this bundle is made for anyone who understands what a chord and/or scale is. That’s the only prerequisite to the PPB bundle.

What you need is the ability to sit down and use what I teach. If you plan on letting this sit on your computer, or to look at it once and never use it again…..you will not solo the way you’re currently dreaming of now.

I will teach you plenty of ways to do this!

What's Included?

IMPORTANT! This is not a video course, and that’s great news……

No hour long unedited videos with bad guitar tones. Just well written instructions and well-made scale diagrams, guitar pro files, CAGED images, etc.

The LAST thing I want you to do is sit and stare at my face while I discuss pentatonic scales. You will learn all the concepts in the courses much more quickly, and I’ll be covering music you already know anyways…..

A lot is missing from CAGED courses that I’ve bought, and it’s keeping you from seeing it at play in your favorite songs and solos. This course will help you understand how CAGED can tell you exactly where to go when playing over a chord. Without this, the pentatonic scale is not enough to make music with.

Music harmony is a subject that’s not covered hardly anywhere in the guitar world, and I had to buy music school textbooks to learn it. Instead of doing what I did, I will go over each type of chord choice so you can understand how it works with various scales, like the pentatonic, that you’re already using. Knowing this is like having a great songwriter tell you how their song works!

What use is any knowledge about chords and scales if you can’t see how it’s used in great solos? That’s why I will take you through some of the greatest guitar solos of all time, which you’ve definitely heard, and reveal how these players chose the notes they played. This is literally the next best thing to having Clapton, Gilmour, EVH, or anybody else explain what they were doing!

Everyone wants to learn how to use modal scales, and I’m going to reveal exactly how to do so. You got to do more than learn a bunch of new scale patterns to unlock the sounds of these scales. In this course, I will reveal all the secrets to using some of the most famous sounds in music!

Since this is pentatonic prison break, you will need an overview of the basic scales that nearly every great guitarist uses to make their solos. Pentatonic is one, and the major scale is another, but knowing this won’t tell you how to use them! In this course, I’m going to tell you the specific instances to use these supremely effective musical tools.

There are many many secrets to using the pentatonic scale, and I’ve found one that very few others have revealed. This secret is the key to unlocking most of the fretboard, and trust me, it’s worth it to learn!

I’ve never ever gotten a straight answer to what scales to use for Jazz. So I’m going to do exactly that! Even if you’re not a jazz enthusiast, you’ll learn plenty about soloing over most everything outside rock and metal.

This is the ultimate deep dive into maybe the greatest rock n roll guitar solo! It’s a one stop shop for nearly all the most well-known rock lead guitar phrases. Once you know how Allen Collins created this solo, your skills are going to skyrocket!

Why is a course on rhythm guitar in this bundle? It’s because the progression dictates what you’re going to play, and these 10 riffs and progressions are going to help you play over anything in this genre! Maybe you’ll use this info to write some of your own riffs?

And I can’t do just one classic rock solo deep dive either. This is another one of the most memorable solos that is another treasure trove of ideas and phrases you can use basically anywhere else! This and the Freebird solo will give you more than enough to break out of the box!

Like metal guitar, country rhythm guitar can help you understand lots of things about soloing with the scales we’re going to work on. These 10 riffs are classics of the genre, and will be more than enough to help you navigate through nearly anything else in country music.

Yes there’s lots of bands I can feature to talk about rock riffs, but AC/DC has more records than everyone except Michael Jackson, the Beatles, and Elvis. So learning how their riffs work will help you create amazing solos to go on top of most anything else in the rock genre!

Visualizing all of these chords and scales on the fretboard is something no one tells you to practice. So I made a workout to help you solve one part of this! This workout will prepare you for playing over most all the chord changes you’ll ever encounter!

And I can’t make a chord workout without a scale pattern workout! The problem with many guitarists is that they only see and use a few patterns when soloing. This is going to fix that problem quick!

This course will cover songs by Elton John, Billie Joel, Steve Wonder, and other great piano songs…..but for guitar! I will show you brand new ways to approach scales and chords by looking at how the piano does it.

In this course I’m going to reveal a chord type that’s barely understood by most guitarists: slash chords. Let’s put it this way…..powerchords and CAGED are just training wheels for making progressions on the guitar. There is a ton of hidden chords and music concepts I want to reveal to you with slash chords that’ll help you the fretboard with a high degree of sophistication.

Having lots of CAGED shapes memorized and knowledge of slash chords is one thing. How about I give you each and every one of my favorite chord moves too? This course will show you how I use slash chords like great composers did, how to use them in a rock song, and how to make pretty clean guitar parts without being stuck in CAGED shapes.

I recently got a 7 string guitar, and my instinct was to start applying all the many ideas in this course to that extra string. I’ll show you the chord shapes and scales I came up that’ll work with your 6 string knowledge. It’s a great way to stop chugging on the low B/A/G string too!

After years of studying country guitar, I noticed that I didn’t have a solid repertoire of chord progressions in this genre to jam over, because I’m mostly a rock musician. So I decided to take some of the progressions behind the guitar solos I’ve studied and loved the most, and break down how you can start jamming over them too.

Like with country, I had learned a lot about jazz but not enough time jamming over some of the standards. I did the same treatment in here by breaking down the LONG series of chord changes. Memorizing and knowing what to play over each part of these progressions is the secret I want to reveal to you in this course.

Chromatic harmony is something that’s ignored in favor of “modal mixture” or some other buzz word. This is a set of harmonies that has been used forever and is all over the place in nearly every songwriter’s repertoire. I want to give you each and every idea I’ve found in a nice little list of ideas you can start using right away.

I’ve been dying to make a training on “chord scales” and I’ve finally done so! These scales train you to see chords as you go up and down the neck. Once you do this enough, your confidence in moving from chord to chord will skyrocket and you’ll rarely get lost while jamming.

I’ve always wanted to improve my ability to recognize chords, progressions, and intervals but hated the training available to do it. Over the years, I’ve been organizing intervals by where they appear in songs I regularly listen to. Intervals is the most important aspect of ear training, and once you can identify most of them easily, everything else gets easier.

In this course, I’m going to show you how the notes in some of the most famous solos ever were chosen. The skills and concepts used by great players like David Gilmour, Jimi Hendrix, Brian May, and John Petrucci may seem unattainable. However, with this course and the many others you’re going to get, you’re going to start seeing and thinking just like they do while soloing.

The Beat It solo is one of the most celebrated and admired in Eddie Van Halen’s repertoire. It also has nearly every single one of this signature sounds and ideas in it. So what I’ve done is made you a compact course that’ll help you start using his ideas as your own, or get a good introduction to his lead guitar style.

I’ve never been satisfied with how arpeggios are taught as this static set of shapes. When you realize that arpeggios are a tool to express a harmonic idea, then you can use arpeggios in thousands of different ways. I’ll show you what I mean with examples from the greats as well as revealing ways to use them in songs you’ve never thought of using them in.

Will This Work For Me?

If you’re at least a beginner who can read tabs, understand fingerings, have used most guitar techniques called for in those tabs you’ve learned, and maybe played a few solos or scales……then yes, this will work for you!

Please note though. This is NOT an absolute beginner course bundle where I’ll teach you G, C, D chords. This is not for you, and I hope the course descriptions above make it obvious.

Still unsure? Here are more specific types of people who can benefit from these courses and have seen great results!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Don’t You Do videos? Everyone Including (insert your favorite youtuber or course creator here) Does!

I’m very well aware that many people like to watch others play and believe that’s the best way to learn. But it’s actually not. Most of your time will be spent looking at tabs and running through riffs and lines you’re learning over and over again. Sometimes, yes, you’ll watch someone play to get an idea of how they’re fingering or picking something, or if I need to hear the song played in front of me. Besides, I hate rewinding, fast-forwarding, and slowing down a recording. It makes practicing and playing VERY inefficient. Why not learn something in minutes by reading it….instead of in hours watching it over and over again?

Will This Work With Acoustic or Electric? With Jazz Or Blues? With Ed Sheeran Songs?

Yes it works with everything. Too many people get hung up on doing everything to avoid making a big mistake instead of learning the most efficient way to play guitar and learn songs. The PIL method is designed to do just that, and it doesn’t matter what you wanta play. All that matters is that you find some music you want to play, and take the time to learn what I put in here.

Are you a scammer? Why do you want to charge me money for stuff I can learn for free?!?!

I’m in no way going to all this effort to steal from you. I’d rather setup a ponzi scheme or a job recruitment scam if I was that diabolical. I started Play It Loud and made these courses because I love music and I love playing the guitar. Nothing more. I want to make a living doing what I love. I also made this become I’m concerned about each and every one of you that is close to quitting because they can’t find the information that actually works. The cost of this course is a very small price to avoid quitting, avoid courses that don’t work, and know with 100% certainty how you can go from absolute beginner to rock star badass guitar god.

[Insert Great Guitarist or Songwriter] Says They Don’t Know Theory. So Why Do You Insist I Learn It???

Every piece of music has chords, scales, intervals, progressions, melodies, etc. That’s music theory. You can’t make music without putting some notes together. Music theory is just the words we use to describe how notes are put together. So you can either go into music blind and hope that you noodle enough to play the right notes by feel….or you can go the much quicker and more efficient way, which I cover in this method. I can guarantee that you’re 200% more likely to quit without this info. A pentatonic scale is not enough.

What If I Already Have Some Other Guitar Guru’s Course? Will This Help? Or Is It A Rehash Of Chord Shapes & Scale Patterns?

I actually buy and have learned from courses sold by other big names out there. I love many of them, but many of them are pure snake oil filled with the same chord shapes and scale patterns you can get for free online. The number one goal of this method has been to strike some new ground in terms of guitar teaching, and go deeper than others are willing to go. Sometimes, you need to hear how someone else explains or shows a musical concept. But if you’re tired of finding the same rehashed material….I think you’re going to be extremely happy with what I’ve got for you.
