Music theory for guitar is not a set of rules to strictly follow. It’s just a set of interconnected ideas to better understand why a piece of music sounds the way it does. When you start to become familiar with intervals, chords, scales, and the keys they’re in (or not in)…..you can recreate a lot of your favorite sounds, riffs, and solos.

✅ We’ll build every interval you’ll ever need with that E note

✅ Then we’ll create the most common chords with those intervals

✅ You’ll then see how those intervals can arranged into the major and minor scales, which determine a musical key

✅ Throughout the entire course there will be examples of everything we’re doing in Tab, not sheet music (you’ll also get a Guitar Pro file too)

✅ Part 2 of MTD is all about helping you apply this knowledge for realistic purposes. Over 50 exercises were made to help you integrate and USE this stuff

✅ Unlike other courses, you will get a simple introduction to common melodic devices and harmonic choices. This is the key to really using theory beyond seeing lots of chord shapes and scale patterns
